June Already!

06/06/2017

The approach to our B&BIt doesn't seem like two minutes since Easter and we were looking forward to the arrival of the Tour de Yorkshire, and suddenly its June. This is a beautiful time of the year when the hawthorn and cow parsley cast a mantle of white over the hedgerows and the gardens burst into lush growth with the promise of summer flowers to come. In the fields the grass is growing faster than the cows can eat it, and even the woodland and hedgerow ash trees have finally deigned to burst into leaf.

It really is amazing how time flies - its hard to believe that we have been welcoming B&B guests into our home for just over two years now, although looking back we  have met some wonderful people in that time, many of whom we think of as friends rather than just guests. Also, looking back at the photographs on this website made us realise how things have changed over the past couple of years, and it has prompted us to start updating the galleries on the site with fresh pictures, largely taken in the past week or two. Why not have a look at the gallery at the foot of the Bed & Breakfast page, the first to be updated, to give yourself an idea of what our breakfast/sitting room look like now, as well as the yard and garden with its stunning view?  Over the next week or two we'll be updating our room photographs too, as well as trying to keep up to date with new pictures on this blog on a more regular basis. If you've visited us before we hope that this might prompt you to come and see us again, and if you are viewing this site for the first time we hope that you might be tempted to come and see for yourself why our guests rate us so highly - 100% 'Excellent' on TripAdvisor.

Another welcome change is that o2 is currently upgrading the mast in this area which should finally give us more than just a basic service - perhaps even 4G! In the meantime we have no o2 (our providers) phone coverage at Skerry Hall, so if you want to contact us please use our landline 01947 881156, or send us an email at stay@skerryhallfarm.co.uk or use the form on our 'contact us' tab on this site.
