Reopening Soon

21/01/2019

No sooner have family and friends departed after Christmas than it seems the time for reopening our B&B is upon us, with just over three weeks to go now until Friday 15th February. We thought that it was hectic preparing for Christmas, with family arriving from Australia, Iraq and Trinidad, as well as the UK, but we are just as busy now preparing for our first guests of 2019, making marmalade and jams, as well getting on with jobs such as TB testing the herd, fitting a new hot water cylinder, etc. etc.

So far it has been a mild and dry winter, and Mother Nature has been busy too. The first snowdrops were in flower by New Year's Day and wild primroses on one of our bank sides before that! Guests have been busy too planning their 2019 holidays and we already have some bookings spread throughout the year. If you are thinking of visiting us now is a good time to book as we still have plenty of vacancies, but as time flies by our booking calendar soon starts to fill, especially for bank holidays and peak summer weeks.

There are plenty of things to do and see outside the main holiday periods, including the Dark Skies Festival as early as February 15th, so why not consider an out of season break? Early season is a good time for walking, far more comfortable than in the heat of summer, and the air can be clear and crisp like at no other time. Have a look at our facebook page to see a few recent photographs.
